Understanding Licensing Options on PicsForDesign.com
At PicsForDesign.com, we offer a range of licensing options to accommodate various needs and usage scenarios. Whether you're an individual artist, a small business owner, or a commercial entity, we have the right license for you. Here's a breakdown of our licensing options and how they can be applied to your purchases:
Personal License ( PU) :
- Ideal for individual artists and hobbyists.
- Allows you to use the purchased artwork for personal projects only.
- Not suitable for commercial use or resale.
- Perfect for creating personal designs, gifts, and non-commercial projects.
PU Only is only for personal online/digital use. This means that you can create an unlimited amount of psp tags, virtual greeting cards, banners and other things for non-commercial use. You can greet your friends and family with your creations, decorate your social media profile and blogs with them, showcase them in special contests for psp taggers.
You can alter the pictures slightly – recolor them, use different parts of the drawing or the full body image. For example, you can change the characters skin tone or the color of their dress. You cannot, however, alter their facial features, they bodyshape and etc.
No products may be sold or bartered or used for profit, commercial or “break-even” endeavors in any way. Furthermore, no product may be displayed on any website or community that offers private or commercial services to the public.
You may not share our products in anyway be it via email, disk, file sharing site, p2p or any other known methods of file sharing.
All tubes must have the copyright symbol, full name of the artist and artist website (depending on group rating).
You may not place a copyright symbol with your name on or around the image as it is considered a derivative work.
You can put “tubed, tagged, sig by, etc” as your tagging mark.
If you want to use product for profit, you should consider purchasing our other licenses or emailing the artist personally to order a picture.
2. Commercial License - CU Basic (Standard Royalty free) License:
- Designed for small businesses, freelancers, and creators who intend to use the artwork for commercial purposes.
- Enables you to incorporate the purchased artwork into products or projects intended for sale or distribution.
- Allows for commercial use on websites, social media, advertisements, merchandise, and more.
- Provides flexibility for commercial ventures such as graphic design, print-on-demand products, digital marketing, and advertising campaigns.
CU Basic (Standard Royalty free) License is suitable for commercial use of the picture and its alteration except for the purpose of printing and/or (re)selling the picture or products created with it.
This means you can use the product under such license to create:
- PFD documents
- websites
- slide shows
- newsletters
- web banners
- video presentations and other digital materials.
! Allow
You can alter pictures under this license, including recolor them, use different parts of the drawing or the full body image.
! Forbidden
This license does not allow using the picture for printing, reselling the picture itself, passing it to a third party or uploading it to file sharing services
If you want to print the picture (less than 20 copies), consider purchasing CU Extended License.
If you want to create and sell products with the pic, then CU Unlimited License is for you.
3. Extended Commercial License (CU Extended) :
- Tailored for businesses and individuals with larger-scale commercial projects.
- Offers all the benefits of the Commercial License with additional usage rights.
- Permits the use of the artwork in larger print runs, mass-produced goods, and items for resale.
- Suitable for industries such as publishing, apparel design, product packaging, and branding.
CU Extended is for Extended Royalty Free License.
It is suitable for commercial use of the picture and its alteration, for creating both digital and printed products, except for the purpose of (re)selling the picture itself of products created with it.
This license allows you to design various products such as:
- mouse pads
- notebooks
- sweatshirts
- vinyl stickers
- planners, and so on
Allowed
You can alter pictures under this license, including recolor them, use different parts of the drawing or the full body image. You can use pictures under Extended Royalty Free License for creating digital and/or printed products, for limited use* and in a limited number**.
* "Limited use" means you are not allowed to sell the items you create with the design made from the image purchased with this type of license.
** "Limited number" stands for 20 items in total.
This license allows on-demand commercial use of the images. When using images under this license for on-demand designs and products, it's allowed to:
- offer and show a range of products on which the image can be put (like mugs, T-shirts, mousepads etc) with the image preview graphically added to such products to give the idea;
- make physical products after receiving such an order from the customer in number that does not exceed 20 units (in total for one image purchased);
- show photos of products you already made and sold to someone using this particular image or another one;
- create on-demand design for the customer to use that design later on and make physical products on their own AND for strictly personal use (such as mugs, T-shirt etc.) but no more than 20 of such products in total.
Forbidden
When using images under this license for on-demand designs and products, it's NOT allowed to:
- create any products (that you intend and will sell) in advance;
- create more than 20 units in total of any product for one image purchased;
- display previews of images under this license on products you can make with them at online stores without expressly stating that this is an on-demand item that can only be
This license does NOT allow reselling the picture itself, passing it to a third party or uploading it to file sharing services.
4. Unlimited Extended Commercial License (CU Unlimited) :
- Tailored for businesses and individuals with larger-scale commercial projects.
- Offers all the benefits of the Commercial License with additional usage rights.
- Permits the use of the artwork in larger print runs, mass-produced goods, and items for resale.
- Suitable for industries such as publishing, apparel design, product packaging, and branding.
CU Unlimited is for Unlimited Royalty Free License.
It is suitable for commercial use of the picture and its alteration, for creating digital and/or printed products intended for selling. You can alter pictures under this license, including recolor them, use different parts of the drawing or the full body image.
This license allows you to create an unlimited amount of products based on our pictures. You can make:
- printed mugs
- notebooks
- pencilboxes
- t-shirts
- bags
- design unusual pet shampoo bottles
- eyeshadow palettes
- label tags for clothing
- posters or wall murals
- anything you can think of.
😀 Allowed
You can use pictures under Unlimited Royalty Free License to create digital and/or printed products intended for further selling and in any volumes. This means you can make hundreds or thousands of copies. This is especially beneficial for big companies.
😢 Forbidden
This license does NOT allow reselling the actual picture, passing it to a third party or uploading it to file sharing services.
5. R4R (Resale for Resale) License :
- Tailored for businesses and individuals with larger-scale commercial projects.
- Offers all the benefits of the Commercial License with additional usage rights.
- Permits the use of the artwork in larger print runs, mass-produced goods, and items for resale.
- Suitable for industries such as publishing, apparel design, product packaging, and branding.
R4R (Resale for Resale) is a special case of CU Basic license. It allows you to resell the psp tube you purchased as a part of a scrap kit or as a resale product in our and other stores.
The tube's author still owns the copyrights, but you are allowed to use such product for commercial gain in digital realm.
The author can sell their tube under this license up to 15 time, then such option will get closed automatically. The price will be 5-12$. Such measures are meant for protecting the retailers.

You can alter pictures under this license, including recolor them, use different parts of the drawing or the full body image, put them in scrap kits or timeline sets for sale.
😢 Forbidden
This license does not allow using the picture for printing, passing it to a third party or uploading it to file sharing services.
Please note that the tube's author is also allowed to sell it under different types of license, such as PU only and CU Basic, Extended and Unlimited.
If you want to create a timeline set for sale, you only need to purchase a CU Basic license. However, if you want to make more products, such as scrap kits or resale sets, you should purchase a R4R license.
